Day 63

First stop of the day was ToG for 16 hunter.

Then I went around my allotments and squeezed out 40 farming just before taking on the Tanglefoot in Fairy Tale 1.

Finally I have magic secateurs! I talked to Martin in Draynor to immediately start the sequel quest, but he put me off. So I went and carved out some oak longbow shafts to get 30 fletching. I felt very lucky with the 3 components assigned – Volencia moss, uncut diamond and baby dragon bones. I want to thank Gsmeck for selling me an uncut diamond for 8k in Edgeville. :)

When I got this level, I talked to Martin again and he let me start the quest. I couldn’t finish it, of course, due to not having all the levels, but I did as much as possible. I stole back the Queen’s secateurs from the Fairy Godfather and have access to the fairy ring transportation system. I don’t feel like such a nubcake now. I went off to Seer’s to make bowstrings which will be my money maker for a while. I got 53 crafting.

While over there, I captured 3 scorpions for Thormac. I got very lucky running by the black demons and poison spiders in Taverly dungeon. None attacked me!

The next quest was Ratcatchers, mostly to get it off my plate. It’s part of a couple acievement diaries. The stealth catching in the house for Jimmy Dazzler went surprisingly well, though I don’t understand how those guards see a closed door one second and then it’s open the next. And they don’t mind some stray cat wandering around upstairs either?

After supper, I finished Shilo Village. This time, I sold the parchments, hilt and orb to the antique dealer in Shilo instead of dropping them. While I was there, I did one small favor /sarcasm for him. I enjoy this quest. I get to see a lot of RS and though I did too much running, it wasn’t a chore. I did break 3 gems (all red topaz) while fixing the runway lights in Feldip Hills. I have 12 quest keys, but I could only put 3 on the ring. Anyway, I put the 20k exp lamps into construction and now I can make a study and a costume room. So much closer to making tele tabs!

I’m glad I bought a set of initiate armor, It sure came in handy for Shilo’s boss fight. I didn’t even need a sip of prayer potion! When I know ahead of time I’m going to use a protection prayer (usually melee), I wear prayer boosting gear and the Fally shield. Mostly, the percentage prayer restore from the shield gets me by.
