I can depend on the circus for good range exp.
Since it’s at Edge, it headed down to try out the leprechaun champion. I beat him quite handily.

I cleaned up all the herbs from Misc. I had to go to CC and get some secondaries. I made some spidines, too, for super restores since I’d grown 3 snap seeds.

I farmed all the seeds I had, using what I wanted and selling the rest. The fungi I find a pain to get; always run out of prayer before filling my pack. While I was in Zanaris, I got an new herblore level and was disappointed super defense pots happen at 66 instead of 65. I stopped by the GE and put up some pots and herbs to sell. I feel I have enough super attack and strength (200+), so sold off the 3-dose pots (super strength is 4.8k!). The real money maker was 115 clean ranarr weeds which hauled in 1.2M. The price is going down; I could only sell for lowest price, but I’ll take 1M anyday.

Decided to go with Chaeldar for slaying. First task – 127 fever spiders – and I remembered my gloves. Got 2 levels, 89 combat and 5 kwuarm.

Such excitement! Another quest opened up and I rushed off to complete it. I wish I was tough enough for the training grounds.

After that, I went back to pick up another slayer task – 140 turoth. Well, I figured I could stick with the little ones which might take all day but be simpler to accomplish. I bought a leaf-bladed spear, put on my melee gear and walked the long walk through the slayer caves. Things were going okay to start, I even braved the level 89 and received the bone for rag and bone man’s wish list. Since it took a bit for me to kill one of the little ones, I alt-tab over to Merch’s blog to read up. I keep checking back every minute to make sure I’m alive. I posted an answer about Guthan’s, which took a minute, and tabbed back to watch myself red bar and fall to the ground. Quite the shocker! I appeared in Fally with my rune plate, d skirt and Neit helm. My grave gives me 4 minutes and my run was at 60% when I took a dirt nap. I ran to the bank, tele’d to Camelot and ran over the shortcut north of Sinclair mansion. The hard part is I had no energy, so should I keep walking or rest? I felt I could chance it with 2 minutes level when I entered the caves. I sat down at cockatrices until I had 30% run and took off again. Near pyrefiends, I realized the timer wasn’t counting down seconds/nanoseconds. Someone had blessed my grave. I made it to basilisks to a pm from Kamen58, telling me he’d blessed it.

Let me say now that this is the first death of any RS account where there were things to pick up under the gravestone. I clicked on it and read my epitaph. I clicked again and attacked a turoth. Kamen58 reminded me I needed a special weapon to kill it. I mentioned I’m an idiot and the attack was an accident.
I right-clicked and picked up my stuff; I was mostly worried about the 3 ranarr weeds that anything else. I felt odd knowing I’d sort of suicided. I mean, I’ve suicided intentionally without anything on me and been killed because I was there or it was a boss monster (Dream Mentor anyone?), so it’s queer to realize I murdered myself for no good reason. Turoths could wait. I needed to do something infinitely safer, such as tossing living animals onto a raging fire. I lost one of my lunar staves, down to 19.
I have workers fishing swordies and tuna so I have something to cook without going through the effort of fishing. Cooking is the main thing to raise to 80 for sharks and the swordies and tuna are okay money when sold. I keep the tuna for thievingĀ and low-level combat food. I cooked the swordies in Lumby, then moved to Rogue’s Den for the tuna.

I’ll get back to those turoth, maybe tomorrow. I’d like to get 70 defense so I can wear something other than rune plate.
A big slayer day today. I started getting points from Chaedlar, earning a tough tasks of 111 blue dragons. Here’s the debate – should I stick with melee and train defense on baby blues or use range on the big blues? Though I wanted the defense exp, I put on my range gear and headed under Gu’Tanoth. The hunter xbow is very nice, it doesn’t hit for a lot of damage but it hits frequently. It took almost 3 hours to get all the dragons killed. I even used 5 terrorbirds to cart my hides and bones back to CW, lol.

While I was ranging, I realized I could get a couple of prayer levels by grinding the bones at Port Phas. I ecto’d all the bones for 57 prayer.

I returned to Zanaris to talk to Chaedlar and she gave me 42 bronze dragons. *sigh* I Burthorped it, losing 30 points. I was disappointed at being so close to buying a slayer ring only to get it taken away. I decided to do a bit of agility on the atoll. I only had 17 laps and didn’t think about taking food. I also didn’t take a m’amulet or a knife, so I ended up using Rapid Heal and surviving on bananas picked at the auntie’s house.

I’m getting tasks from Malzar (the demon in Canifis). I checked up on him and he doesn’t give anything I’d switch. I’ve just done the fourth task and can start earning points again. I’m wondering which method to use – stay with Malzar for 1-9 tasks, get Chaedlar for 10 and repeat or switch to Chaedlar now and hope she doesn’t give me anything horrible. While killing pyrefiends, I got 64 defense.

I’d just been picking up staves each day and banking them, saving the actual screwing of air orbs atop until today. I made a lot of money, 1.5M. Inching closer to being able to make slayer items (helm and ring). After alching my staves, I decided to try killing Barrelchest to see if it was reomtely possible with my stats. I did take a few perks, like super attack and strength pots and bought 100 cooked rocktails (which I really needed). The prayer pots were a waste since I couldn’t keep prayer on long enough to make drinking any worth it. I stuck with choking on rocktails after each slam. I unloaded dds specs on him, though it took time because I had to eat constantly. Eventually, he got poisoned which I know helped and the combat boosts. When the fight started and I got scared, I hopped through the door just to collect my thoughts. All that kept going through my head during the fight is: Merch says *this* is the badass boss monster in RS questing. I remember why, lol. Oh, and for those people who kept telling me to safe spot (not Kayla or Silvertaler, who were helpful), here’s what the inside of the church looks like:

I’m glad it’s over and I have the poison-curing prayer book. Half of what I want to play PP is in my hands; the other being the Sophanem bank.
Living and defeating a really badass monster boosts the ol’ confidence, yes?
I felt I could easily kill a vyrewatch and went to finish up the Myreque questline. Oh, the vyewatch was super easy since I could use prayer without incident. Um, a funny thing happened down in the Meiyerditch caverns. You know where you’re down there with the Sanguinesti freedom fighters and the vyrewatch ambush you, killing one guard and scaring the other away? And your left alone with Safalaan? Yeah, well….

Look, Saf, we were in a scary situation and barely escaped being lunch to hungry vyrewatch. What happened between us is normal under those circumstances. Seriously. I swear to never tell anyone about your …condition. Pinky swear.

I took a pause and went searching for pumpguins. Found them all and put the points into herblore, which got me 88 exp from a level.
I think I’ll put them in smithing for the next while, until I can get closer to 70. I hid down in Lumby cellars and scrounged out some herbs to help out.

The last quest of the day was Grim Tales. Again, another monster who shuts off/drains prayer. Well, I have those lovely rocktails. I met a guy in the witch’s basement who was searching for gloves. I’d worn ice gloves, wondering if they would work; they don’t, lol. We talked a bit and I tele’d to Edge to grab those gloves outside the bank. Figuring he’d still be there, I picked up another pair for him. When I came back, I offered the gloves to his delight.
We went off on our separate quests; he to rescue the boy’s toy ball and be to find a pendant. The fight with Glod went not too bad. I was able to keep my prayer up for a significant amount of time, enough to ward off most of the giant’s blows. I drank all 3 prayer pots and wished I’d brought a fourth, but my overdose of food saw me through.

Off I went to train up slayer. I’m sticking with Chaeldar as my slayer master. I got through the initial 4 tasks and am currently gaining slayer points. I’m not sure whether to buy the helm first or the ring. I suppose that will be decided when/if I get a black mask. The killing is slow, but I’m grinding my way along and earning decent drops. I got dagannoths and fought amongst 5 other players for the honor of slaying the horrors from the deep. Dropwise, things swung my way. I picked up seeds, most I can grow and some I can’t, topping off with 3 snapdragon seeds which will be grown in the safety of My Arm’s patch. Oh boy, now there’s nothing stopping me from completing DT. *shudder* Here are the top levels up of the night:

Warriors’ guild, oh yeah!

One more combat level and jungle spiders won’t attack me! I still have 90+ lessers to slay.
I bought 10 more glories, looking to enchant air orbs rather than fire orbs to save the long run under Taverly. Only one revenant appeared at the air obelisk, a goblin one, so it was a productive and safe morning. I enchanted all 1k orbs and got 74 magic.

I meandered around, picking berries and fruit to catch up that last 2k exp to level 68. I found 3 sweetcorn seeds in my bank and planted those, the harvest bringing me the level. My next goal for farming is level 72 (or 69 with garden pie) for calquat.

I was in Ardy, getting more whiteberries, when I gelt the urge to mug a guard. I picked pockets until the next level instead of sticking it out for 60.

I headed to the fishing colony to finish fishing and cooking levels.Out of three loads, I only burned 9 monkfish.

IRL, laundry was taking over, so I went with making fires along the coast. It’s a nice skill for repeated logging on and off. I gained 5 levels and knocked a divet in my stockpile of maple logs. Another player was lighting fires too, but occasionally forgot about a yew log. I picked them up because I’m a scavanger at heart.

Lastly, I pushed attack up another level. Only one more until I can enter the Warriors’ guild!

I went around to pick up the daily items – essence, flax and staves – and stopped to check a few things on the GE. I spent almost half my gold coins buying a dragon square shield andĀ a dragon plateskirt. I toyed with getting a granite body since it’s slightly better than rune, but you get made fun of wearing it with a d skirt. Someday I’ll have enough to upgrade to Bandos.
From ToG yesterday:

I went off in search of pumpguins on W60 and treated myself to some runecrafting exp.

I next sorted out my herbs. I made a trip to CC for some unicorn horns and newt eyes. Even though it’s less exp, I’m going to use irits in super attack pots rather than super antipoisons. Getting the eyes is easier than the horns and I’ll have a nice pile when I can make the extreme attack. It gave me another level in herblore, one more closer to making super defense pots.

I’d gotten seeds from Misc. and was checking on them. I tend to right-click people a lot, in case someone I know shows up. I ran into Silvertaler, another blogger, at the Fally alottments. I take it he’d just finished ME2 (which is cool) without a guide (which is cooler).

As I was in the area, I went off to see what Mr. Reaper needed this year. Apparently I’m his pest control service because it became my job to get a gigantic spider out of his bathtub.
Did anyone else notice the spider plays with the rubber ducky in the puddle on the floor?
I jumped through my hoops, this time with a helpful companion named Eeek. While I was dressed in my new cape and carrying Eeek, I saw Eeek will run around while you’re looking at the equipment screen.

I headed north to help Varrock defend against a horde of zombies. Being the the Wildy is still scary as I expected a revenant to pop out of the woods anytime. Hartwin was no help; he is a true scout. Though the guides state the adopted person is different for each player, I had the same one as Kitt did.

The other part of the Misc. resources is raw fish. I’m trying to skill up to finish a few of the easier achievement diaries like Seers and the big one for that is cooking. I haven’t set out to fish, so I put my kingdom to work and I’d cook up whatever thay caught in their nets. If only I had another few swordies, I’d've gotten another level. Atm, I’m 2k from 74 cooking.

I was in a questing mood. Looking over what I have left, I gave serious thought to taking on Barrelchest. I checked him on the RS Wiki and learned he can’t be safespotted nor hit-and-run as Kayla suggested (he will heal all damage if you teleport away). Well, I felt I wasn’t up to it with my puny health and combat stats. Reading up on other quests put me in a sour mood because I didn’t feel good enough to complete any of them. Summer’s End is a giant stress ball what with running for my life (and I have no blue charms
). I thought, “If I’m going to die, why not try to range a mithril dragon? It’s the only hard part left of the Fremmy diary.” I got excited because this sounded like fun. Range armor is cheaper to replace than melee armor. I dressed up, even buying and making ruby (e) and diamond (e) bolts. Then I realized I couldn’t fire the bloody things. Zanik’s crossbow refuses and I didn’t have the level for a rune one. The level I could get quick enough (8k away) and the GE should throw one in my lap in time. I put up 10k on the GE, thinking the rune bow would fall into my lap like other items. When that didn’t happen immediately, I shrugged and went off the the Legends basement to toss sharp knives at shadowy warriors.

The bow still had not appeared, so I resumed cooking. An hour later and still nothing, so I logged off in favor of food. Two hours later and I read a nice message about having something in my GE box. Thankfully, I’d only ordered the crossbow.
Once again I put on my gear; packed my antifire, range and 2 prayer potions; 20 monkfish; a games necklace and a home tele tab. I tele’d to the barby outpost, deposited my necklace and jumped into a swirling pool of unknown depths. I know what to do having done it with Kitt, but I have baby skills for this kind of thing. I honestly expected to be heartily nommed by the brutal green dragons. Fortunately, they merely sniffed me as I ran by and up the stone stairs. The mithril dragon at the top was availible to be a pin cushion. I began with the ruby bolts, eating when needed and switching to the diamond bolts when the beast was a half health.

I killed it with nary a twitch and ran out to collect my booty. What luck! It dropped a dragon tail I need for the rag and bone man.
I picked up all it dropped, hurrying in the expectations of it respawning very soon. Confidence boosted, I redressed into prayer armor and headed to Waterbirth to see about these dagannoth. WIth 3 of those taken care of, I went to Moonclan to get a pie baked with magic.

I brought the sea boots with me to Advisor Grim, earning replacements and a shiny exp lamp which I put into agility.

I spent the rest of the night carting unnoted oak toyboxes from the bank to Grim in exchange for coinage. I stopped halfway through, wishing he’d take bank notes. While running through the maples, I spied on Primefalcon, Marlaine’s husband and another blogger.

Finished smelting all that iron ore, then started pounding out iron knives in Varrock. When I noticed it would take the rest of the day to get through them all, I took a break halfway and worked on a couple other skills I wanted to do. I put on my new Ardy cloak and trapped a guard in the house north of the silver stall. I mugged him for 2 hours until I achieved 58 thieving.

While I was there, someone popped in to mug the knight also trapped in the house. I checked the name because she looked familiar (even though 90% of the female avatars have that poofy ponytail).

Yes, that one from Marlaine’s Musings.
When I finished with the guard, I tele’ed to CW and kitted out for ranging some blue dragons in Gu’Tanoth. I took my hunter bow to see if it’s as fast as claimed. Yes, it is as fast as a shortbow! I’ll be sticking with this crossbow from now on. I hung around for 8 dragon bones, then popped over to Port Phas to offer the bone meal to the green goo.

Now it was back to Varrock for more smithing. I am so sick of the stray dog trailing after me. Unfortunately, I felt so guilty about shooing it away.
Anyway, I know the creepiest thing in RS – the mourner gas mask, especially when worn with the Varrock 1 armor. After making 24k iron knives, I reached my goal level of 64 and went off to happily steal some dwarven stout.

I stopped in Lumby to spin one flax, then hit Doric’s hut to make the slender bow. I tele’ed over to the digsite and ran to talk to the mysterious monk, who will now talk to me. He traded the bow for a shiny orb and asked me to take it to Entrana. Well, having been unable to convince the Saradomin monks that my sailor’s cap isn’t a tool of the Evil Lord, I hid the orb in a runecrafting pouch and snuck onto the island through the Abyss. Along the way, I crafting some laws (waste not want not), then put the glowing pouch on the church altar. I expected the explosion, but not the ninja. He hacked down 3 monks, stole a relic and it’s *my* fault. Yea, I brought in the orb, but any n00b would’ve done it (and probably mucked up the job). At least I’ll make amends. After being ordered to run around the countryside, I imparted my story to Sir Tiffy, who sipped his tea and nodded thought fully. Another mystery to be filed under WTF.

The first thing was to get another kitten from Gertrude. I’d just traded my last cat for death runes last Sunday. XD It gave me companionship while I wandered around getting herb secondaries and clueing up the Ardougne diary (AAD). I’m going to hold on to any ranarr weeds, hoping to collect and sell in 1k bulk. I have 300 prayer pots atm, so I’m not depriving myself of anything.

The kitten was the final thing I needed to check off the first 2 parts of AAD. I went up to the colony and returned to my kebbit bashing. The kitten grew to a cat before I leveled.

I put the 1k exp lamp into prayer. I’m going to try out the hunter crossbow tomorrow at blue dragons. I need 5 bones to level to 55 prayer which means I can do another quest, though I’m not sure I’m ready to take on Barrelchest. *gulp* The worst that will happen is I’ll die and lose all my stuff.
The 7.5k exp lamp went into smithing. Another quest I want to do is Devious Minds. I bought up 5k iron ore and plan to pound out knives to get smithing up. Here’s hoping I have enough RoF because I have no more rubies, lol. I got 2 smithing levels from smelting bars and can make my own mith grapples.

I should get those knives made tomorrow with enough time to do some questing.

I went back to pyrefiends to finish ranging. I felt healthier and inched up another combat level.

I put in an order on the GE for a red dhide set with no luck, I hoped I could pick it up piecemeal. It took several hours, but I did get the set. I also bought a pair of dragon boots for 487k. Seeing the mention of ME1, I decided to finish that quest. I was eager to get my hands on the toad launcher/fixed device. I colored 4 toads of each color in case of missing. I one-hit all except the blue which took two toads. So I have extra colored toads to play with.

After that, I went to save Sir Amik. This time, I ranged the black dragon. It wasn’t easy. I mostly have bows and arrows with only a handful of bolts to use with Zanik’s crossbow. I managed though and received my wish from the fairy dragon (he’s super cute). So all that remains of of RfD is to kill the bosses, but I’d have to do DT before then (not likely).

I was now at loose ends. Somehow, I found myself south of Fally, hacking at the wall ivy.

Again at a loss, I fiddled around in my bank and found a clue scroll. I did it, it was short (4 clues) and got a nice yew composite bow. It’s not worth much to sell, so I’m keeping it.

The bow nudged me to get some kind of crossbow ammunition. Well, I could just buy some bone bolts, but I’m trying to get skills up and hunter fits in nicely. Bashing prickly kebbits with rocks is one of my favorite ways to level hunter and they drop kebbit spikes which I can carve into bolts. I bought a hunter crossbow and went to the fishing colony to get some bolts. I have 2k bolts and 4 hunter levels.

Oh, this means I can finally trade in implings for a jar generator! I skipped to Puro Puro and set to catching the little blighters. I caught enough for 2 magic butterfly nets and a jar generator.
I wanted to make some RoF, but my gold bar supply was kinda low, so off to Keldagrim and Dondakan. I mined up 230 gold ore and a mining level.
